Estonia's right to host the European Fencing Championships has been revoked. The reason for this decision was the refusal of Estonian authorities to issue entry visas to Russian and Belarusian athletes.

The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has revoked Estonia's right to host the European Fencing Championships this year. The reason is the Estonian side's unwillingness to provide entry visas to athletes from Russia and Belarus. This information was confirmed in a conversation with the publication Õhtuleht by the Secretary General of the Estonian Fencing Federation (EVL), Aivar Paalberg.
