On the night of July 18, Ukrainian forces, in addition to strikes on WB warehouses, targeted several sites in Russia and in territories occupied by it. The information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and by Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.
Strike on the oil depot in Noginsk
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the target was the Neft-Servis oil depot in Noginsk, outside Moscow. The Ukrainian side said the facility was hit and that a fire broke out afterward on the premises. Kyiv says the depot was used to store and supply fuel, including for the Russian military.
Earlier, ASTRA reported that an oil depot in Noginsk caught fire after a drone attack. The governor of the Moscow region confirmed the attack itself and said that two people were injured.
Vessels in the Black and Azov seas
Brovdi said strikes were carried out against 13 Russian vessels: 12 in the Black Sea and one in the Sea of Azov. According to him, those hit included eight cargo ships, a LPG tanker, an oil tanker, two floating cranes, and a tugboat.
The Ukrainian command says the tankers were transporting Russian petroleum products and fuel, while the cranes and tug were used for port operations and maritime logistics. Brovdi also said that since July 6, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces have struck 172 vessels in the Black and Azov seas.
In addition, the Ukrainian General Staff reported a strike in Kerch on a Project 10410 Svetlyak patrol ship. According to Kyiv, this was the second vessel of that class struck over the past two days.
Bridge in Luhansk region
Separately, Ukraine’s General Staff said it had struck a railway bridge over the Belaya River near Sabovka in the occupied part of Luhansk region. The Ukrainian command says Russia had been using the bridge for military logistics.
