On the afternoon of June 19, air defense forces destroyed 16 Ukrainian drones approaching Moscow. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported this on his Telegram channel.
According to his updates, the first report about intercepted drones appeared at 12:11 p.m. Moscow time, and the last one available at the time of publication came at 12:34 p.m. That means the destruction of all 16 drones was reported in less than half an hour.
The mayor did not say what consequences, if any, the new attack caused.
What happened the day before
During the night and morning of June 18, Moscow and the surrounding region were attacked by nearly 200 Ukrainian drones. The article says this was the largest attack on the Russian capital since the start of the full-scale war.
