In the Bryansk region, two people were killed in what authorities described as a Ukrainian strike: a 15-year-old girl and her grandmother. Another local resident was injured. The information was provided by regional head Yegor Kovalchuk.
According to him, the strike from a Grad multiple-launch rocket system hit the settlement of Suzemka, the administrative center of the Suzemsky district. One house was completely destroyed, while four more houses, outbuildings, a car, and a tractor were damaged.
In the Yaroslavl region, Governor Mikhail Evraev said one local resident was killed and four others were injured in a drone attack. One of the wounded was taken to a hospital. Amid an air raid alert, authorities blocked traffic on the road out of Yaroslavl toward Moscow.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that from the evening of July 15, the Moscow region was attacked by more than 200 Ukrainian drones. He said most of them were intercepted by air defenses at distant approaches, while another 10 drones were destroyed as they neared the capital.
Drone strikes were also reported in the Saratov region. Governor Roman Busargin said civilian infrastructure was damaged in Engels. Based on photos and videos from witnesses, a drone struck a multi-apartment residential building.
The outlet Astra and the Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+ also claimed that a fire broke out at the Engels-2 military airfield. The Russian Defense Ministry said that 375 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight over Russian regions and annexed Crimea.
