Nadin Geisler, a volunteer from Belgorod region whose real name is Nadezhda Rossinskaya, has reported a worsening of her health after being sent to a punishment cell for 15 days. Geisler had previously been sentenced to 22 years in prison in a case involving treason and aiding terrorism. The project Slovo Zashchite reported this, citing the chat of her support group.
In a letter, Geisler says that her condition sharply deteriorated while she was in the punishment cell. According to her, she is in constant pain and feels close to fainting.
“I’m all dirty, exhausted, and it is hard for me even just to stand still,” she wrote.
Geisler says she is especially troubled by acute tooth pain. In the letter, she asks for help obtaining paid dental treatment, if this can be arranged remotely, and also requests throat spray, lozenges, and pain relief for her tooth.
She also filed requests for examinations of her heart, head, and blood vessels. In addition, she complained that since June 22 she has not been receiving letters, although friends told her they had sent them. Geisler also said that no lawyer had come to see her.
Geisler founded the volunteer movement Army of Beauties in Belgorod region. The group helped Ukrainian refugees, collected humanitarian aid, and assisted in evacuating people. In June 2025, the 2nd Western District Military Court, sitting in Belgorod, sentenced her to 22 years in prison on charges of treason, calls for activity against state security, and aiding terrorism.
The criminal case was based on Instagram posts mentioning fundraising for the Azov Battalion. Geisler maintained that the account where the fundraising appeal appeared did not belong to her. In April 2026, the Military Court of Appeal upheld the sentence. On June 22, 2026, her lawyer Alexei Pryanishnikov said that Geisler had been transferred to Penal Colony No. 6 in Altai Krai.
