Over the past 24 hours, 340 Ukrainian drones flew in the direction of Moscow and the Moscow region, according to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
He said most of the drones were neutralized by air defense forces at distant approaches. Another more than 50 drones, Sobyanin said, were destroyed while approaching the capital itself.
The mayor first reported downed drones on July 14 at about 8:00 a.m. By 8:10 p.m., based on his statements, the number of drones destroyed on approach to Moscow had exceeded 30.
At the same time, on the night of July 13, the Moscow region had already come under attack by more than 350 Ukrainian drones, Sobyanin said.
As previously reported, three people were killed and three others were injured when a Ukrainian drone fell in the settlement of Pionersky in Istra, outside Moscow.
In addition, in Solnechnogorsk, a drone hit an apartment building. According to available information, two people were injured there.
