Russia’s FSB said it had prevented a large-scale drone attack on a strategic facility located, in the agency’s wording, “in a residential sector of the Moscow region.” The report was carried by TASS.
According to the security service, the attack was being prepared by the SBU. The FSB claims that 35 drones were to be launched remotely from a hangar near the facility.
The agency says the drones were brought into the Moscow region via Belarus from Bratislava, disguised as a shipment of Spanish ceramic tiles.
The FSB also said that during the arrest operation, a Russian citizen who had rented the hangar to store the drones was killed in a shootout. The alleged direct perpetrator of the attack, whose citizenship was not disclosed, was detained, according to the agency.
Separately, the FSB said Ukrainian rapper Albert Vasilyev, known as Kyivstoner, was involved in organizing the operation. The agency did not specify what role he allegedly played.
Vasilyev himself responded to the FSB press release on Instagram with a brief emotional remark.
Albert Vasilyev is best known as a former member of the group Griby, which he left in 2017. After the start of the war, he moved from Kyiv to the United States and several years later relocated to Bratislava. His wife previously said that he provides financial support to the Ukrainian army. In 2025, in an interview with Yuri Dud, Vasilyev, among other things, criticized what he called “repression by the TCC” and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
