On the evening of July 19, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported the attack.
According to rescuers, a residential building was partially destroyed as a result of the strike. A residential area of the city came under attack.
Three people were killed: women aged 71 and 72, as well as an 11-year-old girl.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia regional administration, Ivan Fedorov, said that 41 people were injured. The emergency service later уточнила that as of the evening of July 19, the number of injured had risen to 42, including eight children.
Official figures cited by the Ukrainian authorities and emergency services therefore point to severe consequences of the strike on the city: there were fatalities, dozens of injuries, and damage to a residential building.
