Davyd Nuriyev, the rap artist known as Ptakha, has been fined 80,000 rubles by Moscow’s Nikulinsky District Court. The information was reported by the united press service of the capital’s courts.
The musician was found guilty in an administrative case over the promotion of narcotic and psychotropic substances using the internet. According to the court’s statement, the case was considered under Part 3 of Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code. The administrative protocol was registered on July 2.
According to RIA Novosti, the fine was prompted by three songs: “Ne pozdno”, “Ne mogu”, and “Monolog”. The last of those tracks was released by Centr, a group Nuriyev previously belonged to.
The agency reported that the songs had been posted in the “Ptakha aka Zanuda” community on VKontakte. Their lyrics mention marijuana, hashish, cocaine, amphetamine, and other drugs.
During the hearing, Nuriyev insisted that he had not posted the materials on the social network. RIA Novosti also says he reminded the court that he “helps children and fighters in the zone of the special military operation in the DPR”.
The musician refused to admit guilt in the case.
