Shanynka University students have been given the option to transfer to other institutions due to potential accreditation loss. University rector Maria Sigova shared this news during a student meeting on July 17, as reported by "Groza" citing two independent sources. "Nova-Europe" later verified this information with students.
The situation stems from an unplanned inspection in November 2024 that uncovered regulatory violations, leading to a ban on new bachelor's admissions. A subsequent Rosobrnadzor review resulted in another compliance order. Sigova stated this likely signals impending accreditation revocation.
While Shanynka's administration is contesting the order in court, Sigova admitted, "We aren't very hopeful about winning the case." She anticipates accreditation could be withdrawn as early as September or early October—either for specific programs (psychology bachelor's/master's, sociology bachelor's, and management bachelor's) or the entire university.
Students have a 30-day window to initiate transfers to other universities.
