The Moscow Perovsky District Court approved a search warrant for Igor Zakhvatov, father of attorney Dmitry Zakhvatov, on July 15, as reported by RBC.
Sources indicate that Igor Zakhvatov faces criminal charges for allegedly financing terrorism. SOTA notes that these searches are part of an ongoing case against Dmitry Zakhvatov, accused of aiding terrorist activities.
On the same day, the court also authorized a search of 68-year-old Lyubov Chukhacheva, mother of former Moscow resident Maria Solenova, according to Mediazona. Journalists speculate these investigative measures may be connected to Solenova’s own legal case.
RIA Novosti previously cited an unnamed source stating that both Zakhvatov and Solenova are under investigation for terrorism promotion (Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code) and incitement to activities threatening Russia’s security (Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code).
The source claims the two shared online posts containing donation links to purchase drones for Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU) and medical supplies for Azov Regiment fighters.
Zakhvatov and Solenova co-founded the Action4Live fund, which provides Ukrainian soldiers with medicine, transport, and other non-military aid. The organization explicitly states it does not procure weapons or ammunition for the AFU.
