A Ukrainian drone strike in Tatarstan resulted in one fatality and 13 injuries, according to regional leader Rustam Minnikhanov.

Minnikhanov stated that wreckage from the drone hit a checkpoint building at a car factory in Yelabuga district, killing an employee. Among the wounded, one individual remains in critical condition. The impact triggered a fire, though emergency crews have since contained the blaze.

"The Republic's businesses and essential services continue operating normally, despite efforts to spread fear and disruption," the regional head emphasized.

Yelabuga district hosts the Alabuga special economic zone, a production site for Shahed drones. Mediazona reported that the fire broke out near a parking area close to the Aurus plant.

On June 15, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed to have intercepted seven Ukrainian drones. Airports in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, and Izhevsk temporarily suspended flight operations as a precaution.
