A two-story home in Dolotinka village, Rostov region, suffered damage when a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone crashed into it, causing a floor to collapse. The incident claimed the life of a retired schoolteacher, according to regional governor Yuri Slyusar.

Meanwhile in Shakhty, another Rostov region city, a strike knocked out power at a substation. Governor Slyusar reported: "Nearly 2,000 private residences housing over 6,000 residents lost electricity. Several buildings near the substation had broken windows, but no injuries occurred."

Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov stated that four additional drones came down in Sergiev Posad district, injuring two men. One falling drone ignited a fire at an electrical substation, cutting power to multiple residential buildings, utility facilities, and social service locations.

Russia's Defense Ministry announced its air defense systems intercepted 48 Ukrainian drones during the night of July 4, with most being downed over Rostov and Kursk regions. The ministry's report made no mention of the Moscow region attack.
