A resident of Mariupol, forcibly deported from Ukraine, is facing treason charges in a Yekaterinburg courtroom.

The Yekaterinburg-based Central District Military Court is currently hearing the trial of 54-year-old Andrei Lazarenko, originally from Mariupol. He faces charges of state treason (under Part 3 of Article 30 and Article 275 of Russia's Criminal Code) as well as attempted terrorism (Part 3 of Article 30 and Part 1 of Article 205). According to reports from Mediazona, the case is underway.
