A violent incident occurred at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport where a man violently threw a two-year-old boy to the ground, leaving the child in critical condition. Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson Irina Volk confirmed the details, while REN TV broadcast footage of the attack.
Authorities reported the assault took place overnight on June 24. The suspect, arriving from Cairo, approached the toddler in the baggage claim area, lifted him up, and forcefully slammed him onto the floor.
The impact caused the child to lose consciousness after striking his head. According to the Moscow Region Health Ministry, the boy was admitted to the Roshal Children's Center in serious but stable condition. Ksenia Mishonova, Children's Rights Commissioner for the region, revealed the child suffered skull fractures. Doctors placed him in a medically induced coma for treatment.
