Two international carriers are exploring the option of relocating certain flights from Moscow airports to St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport, according to Vedomosti. This information comes from a source within a Russian airline and has been corroborated by an airport representative.

The report indicates that discussions about shifting flights to St. Petersburg were initiated by two airlines already operating at Pulkovo, with Turkish Airlines potentially being one of them, as suggested by the source.

The primary motivation behind this potential move is the growing frequency of airspace closures in and around Moscow caused by drone activity. Additionally, the Vedomosti source mentioned that passengers increasingly book international flights departing from Moscow but end up flying out of St. Petersburg instead.

However, Domodedovo Airport's press office has denied claims that foreign airlines are transferring flights from Moscow to Pulkovo.
