On June 25, RBC reported that several applications linked to the VK holding company had stopped appearing in the App Store. According to the report, they included Dzen, VK Video, VK Messenger, VK Music and VK Dating.
The Apple store also made the Odnoklassniki social network app unavailable. At the time of publication, however, iOS users were still able to download the main VKontakte social network app.
A later update said that other services had also disappeared from the App Store: the main VKontakte app itself, the Mail.ru email client, the Skillbox educational platform app, and the Dzen content platform.
“Official legal opinions and all necessary information have long been in Apple’s possession. Nevertheless, Apple unilaterally removed VK’s applications without warning,” the company’s press service said.
The press service also stressed that, according to the company, VK had never been under sanctions. At the time of publication, Apple had not explained the reasons for its decision.
According to the figures cited in the report, 1,213 apps were removed from the Russian App Store in 2025.
