VPN Client Happ Removed Again from the Russian App Store

The VPN client Happ — Proxy Utility Plus has again been removed from the Russian section of the App Store. The app’s developers reported this.

According to them, as in the previous case, the removal was carried out at the request of Roskomnadzor. The developers recalled that in March, Happ had already disappeared from the Russian App Store along with other VPN services.

Until the application possibly returns, the developers advised users to change their region in the App Store in order to keep access to the service.

In recent years, the Russian branch of the App Store has been removing VPN applications on a large scale. According to the store’s own statistics, in 2025 it removed more than 1,200 applications following Roskomnadzor requests.

Russia accounted for more than half of all app takedowns carried out by the store in response to government requests worldwide.

Roskomnadzor itself reported in 2026 that it had “restricted access” to 469 VPN services.
