On April 28, the Russian president announced the suspension of hostilities with Ukraine from midnight on May 8 to midnight on May 11 in connection with the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that since the start of the ceasefire, Russian forces had carried out 586 attacks on AFU positions. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry insists that its troops are strictly adhering to the ceasefire, while the Ukrainian side has violated it 488 times.
