The question of Donald Trump's possible participation in the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations on May 15 remains unanswered for now. As CNN reports, citing a representative of the U.S. administration, the decision will largely depend on Vladimir Putin's stance regarding Trump's involvement in the meeting.

"The situation is highly volatile. No one can predict what will happen on Thursday," noted an anonymous source from the outlet.

According to journalists, Trump's special representatives—Steve Witkoff and Keith Kellogg—will attend the negotiations. These details have been confirmed by informed Reuters sources. However, CNN clarifies that both envoys will most likely limit themselves to an observer role.

Earlier, Trump did not rule out his personal participation in the negotiation process in Turkey if such an opportunity arises.
