A tragic incident occurred at the migration center near Moscow, located close to the village of Sakharovo—an elderly foreign national died in a stampede. This was reported by the publication *Ostorozhno, Novosti*, citing eyewitness accounts.

The incident took place on May 15 during the daytime. According to witnesses, a massive queue had formed near the center’s building. Roughly three hours after opening, cries for help were heard from the crowd.

Two visitors felt unwell and lost consciousness. Medics who arrived at the scene confirmed the death of one of the men—an elderly foreigner who had succumbed to oxygen deprivation. His personal details and country of origin have not been disclosed.

As journalists note, under President Putin’s decree, all foreign nationals in Russia must either legalize their status or leave the country by September 10. However, opportunities to process documents are critically lacking: Uzbek citizens complained that on that day, they waited in line until closing but still couldn’t get inside.
