Vladimir Zaitsev, the head of the Bolshesoldatsky District in Kursk Oblast, removed a post from his Telegram channel where he claimed that firefighters did not arrive to extinguish a school that caught fire after an attack by a Ukrainian drone. This was reported by the publication *7x7*.
The day before, acting governor of Kursk Oblast Alexander Khinshtein reported a strike on a school under construction in the village of Samoryadovo. He noted that the building caught fire, but there were no casualties, and the fire was subsequently extinguished.
In his Telegram channel, Zaitsev wrote that after the drone attack on the school, emergency services were called, but the rescuers never arrived. Local residents had to extinguish the fire themselves.
"The relevant services were informed about the incident but did not respond. As a result, residents had to fight the fire on their own, doing everything they could to save the school," the official stated.
Although the post was deleted, a copy of it remains in the archive of the TGStat service.
