Governor of the Vologda Oblast Georgy Filimonov announced the resignation of Yulia Shevtsova, head of the Nyuksensky Municipal District. The corresponding statement was posted on his Telegram channel.

"The head of the Nyuksensky District, Y.P. Shevtsova, is resigning due to the incompatibility of her daughter's actions with the values, principles, and ideology of the regional government team," Filimonov explained. He noted that the decision was made after a "thorough and impartial analysis of the situation."

According to the governor, the new head of the district will most likely be a participant in the special military operation.

Filimonov condemned the behavior of Shevtsova's daughter, Ksenia, emphasizing that participation in the SMO is a privilege, not a punitive measure.

"Her statements are absolutely unacceptable, offensive, and vulgar; they touched on a topic that is sacred and painful for all of us," the regional head wrote.

He also stated that Ksenia Shevtsova "lives and studies separately from her mother, left to her own devices." According to him, the girl posted a video "amid a crisis in her relationship with her boyfriend." The governor mentioned that the official's daughter "offered a sincere apology in a video address," but he prohibited its publication to "protect the girl from online harassment."

In May, social media users discussed a video in which Ksenia Shevtsova said: "What, you got it twisted, punk? Do you know who my mom is? The mayor. We’ll send you to the SMO."
