Adam Kadyrov, the youngest son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, has been named the republic's coordinator for Gaza aid efforts, according to an announcement from the regional office for religious and public organization relations.
The statement confirmed that humanitarian aid collections for Gaza residents, previously paused, have now restarted through three charitable groups: Khaira, Daimohk, and Ayub. The Akhmat-Khadji Kadyrov Foundation will maintain its direct support for Palestinians in need.
Authorities clarified that all previously gathered funds remain intact and will be allocated for food and medical supplies in Gaza. No details were provided about current donation methods or the total amount raised so far.
This follows Chechnya's July 30 decision to halt Gaza aid campaigns, which Minister Akhmed Dudayev justified by concerns that assistance might be diverted from intended recipients or reach prohibited groups.
At just 17, Adam Kadyrov already occupies multiple official roles, including Security Council secretary and overseer of both the Sheikh Mansur battalion and the regional police force.
His public profile rose in 2023 after footage surfaced showing him assaulting Nikita Zhuravel, a Volgograd man detained for allegedly desecrating the Quran.
Since then, Adam has received over a dozen honors from regional and national authorities. These include Chechnya's highest decoration, the Order of Kadyrov (August 2024), the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic (October 2024), and Rosgvardiya's "For Combat Distinction" medal in March, personally authorized by agency head Viktor Zolotov.
