On August 2, tensions erupted in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, as local residents clashed with authorities during protests against the territorial recruitment center's (TAC) activities, according to "Suspilne" reports.
Around 11 p.m., demonstrators assembled near Lokomotiv Stadium, alleging that approximately 100 men had been unlawfully detained there as part of forced mobilization efforts. Protesters forced open the gates, demanding the release of their family members. Police reported roughly 80 participants in the gathering.
Valentina, a local resident, told reporters, "My husband is trapped inside. They confiscated his phone and belongings. We hear screams from the building—how can we be sure no abuse is happening? We have no contact with them and don’t even know if they’re safe."
The situation escalated into confrontations with law enforcement, who urged the crowd to disperse due to curfew restrictions. However, the demonstration persisted overnight. By dawn, sources from "Suspilne" confirmed that mobilized individuals were being removed from the stadium.
The unrest reportedly began after authorities detained an individual accused of avoiding military service.
