Alcohol sales have been temporarily halted in 58 outlets of the "Red & White" retail chain across the Vologda region. Regional Governor Georgy Filimonov announced this measure, explaining that the company "Red & Beloe" had its alcohol retail license suspended on July 25 for unspecified violations. While the affected stores will remain open, they can no longer sell alcoholic beverages. The suspension primarily impacts locations in Vologda and Cherepovets.

This development follows earlier alcohol restrictions implemented in the region. Since March 1, under Filimonov's initiative, weekday alcohol sales have been limited to a two-hour window between 12:00 and 14:00, with additional bans on certain holidays. These measures have significantly reduced alcohol retail operations in the area - 288 of 610 alcohol stores closed in the Volgograd region, while Vologda saw 79 of 118 outlets shut down, and Cherepovets lost 140 of its 265 alcohol retailers.
