The Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow has temporarily suspended hearings in the criminal case against Vladimir Shilontsev, suspected of murdering a Nigerian student (Article 105, Part 1 of the Russian Criminal Code). This was reported by the publication *Mediazona*.

According to information on the court's website, the proceedings have been halted due to the defendant signing a contract to serve in the Russian army.

Shilontsev was arrested in April. As clarified by the press service of Moscow courts, the man is accused of murdering a Nigerian citizen. The Telegram channel *SHOT* identified the victim as 22-year-old Owena Favour Nkem.

According to a source, the deceased was engaged in providing intimate services. On the night of April 28, the suspect, while intoxicated, invited the woman to his place. An argument ensued between them, after which Shilontsev allegedly stabbed her in the heart. He then threw the body out of the window, having first wrapped it in a sheet. The next morning, a janitor discovered the corpse, after which the suspect was detained, *SHOT* claims.
