Nikita Efremov, a well-known blogger and owner of a sneaker store chain, is accused of financing extremist activities under Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow judicial authorities.

As stated by the Telegram channel Mash, the basis for initiating the criminal case was donations transferred by Efremov to the Anti-Corruption Foundation. According to the same source, the blogger was detained at Sheremetyevo Airport.

The Ostankinsky District Court of Moscow has chosen a preventive measure for Efremov in the form of a ban on certain actions, clarified the court's press service. Specific restrictions have not been disclosed.

Efremov is the founder of the Nikita Efremov brand, specializing in the sale of sneakers. In 2023, he was suspected of trading counterfeit footwear of well-known brands, leading to searches in his stores. The blogger denied all accusations by posting a video address from the United States, where he claimed to have traveled for business purposes.

In early August, Mediazona published a report stating that since the Anti-Corruption Foundation was designated an extremist organization, at least 76 criminal cases have been initiated in Russia due to donations to structures associated with Alexei Navalny.
