The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under the article on rehabilitation of Nazism (Article 354.1 of the Russian Criminal Code) against a 17-year-old resident of Zheleznogorsk. The teenager submitted a photograph "demeaning the honor and dignity" of World War II veterans for placement on a memorial panel dedicated to those who died in World War II and during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This was reported by the Investigative Committee’s department for the Kursk region.
According to the agency, the young man sent the photo to the organizers in the spring of 2025, after which it was placed on the panel among portraits of veterans. Later, the teenager photographed the panel with his image and posted the picture in an open channel of one of the messaging apps.
The publication "7x7" clarifies that the young man sent seven photographs of porn actor Billy Herrington this spring for publication on the "Battle of Kursk" panel, where images of World War II veterans and participants of the Russian invasion of Ukraine have traditionally been displayed.
