The Kurgan court imposed a fine of one thousand rubles on a local resident for posting an image of Satan online. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the court's press service.

The man was charged with "displaying symbols of extremist organizations." The publication was made on the social network VKontakte, as clarified by the publication Ura.ru. The name of the case participant has not been disclosed.

This fine marks the first known case of its kind after the Supreme Court, at the end of July, recognized the "international satanist movement"—which effectively does not exist—as "extremist." The decision was made in a closed session by Judge Oleg Nefedov, who had previously also recognized the so-called "LGBT movement" as "extremist."
