Unmanned aerial vehicles, belonging to Ukraine, struck the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, the terminal of the NOVATEK company in the port of Ust-Luga, as well as the oil refinery in Syzran.

On the evening of August 23, Russian air defense systems destroyed 152 unmanned aerial vehicles in the airspace over 15 regions, annexed Crimea, and the Black Sea waters. The relevant information was disseminated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the press service of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, the fall of drone fragments caused damage to an auxiliary transformer. The fire was promptly extinguished by emergency rescue services, which led to a reduction in the load on power unit No. 3 to half its capacity. Currently, one power unit is operational at the nuclear plant. No casualties or injuries have been reported.
