Ukrainian citizens, previously blocked in the buffer zone of Georgia and returned to their homeland with the support of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were immediately directed to the TCC (Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, which performs functions similar to Russian military enlistment offices) upon arrival. This was reported to "Novaya Gazeta Europe" by one of the compatriots who returned.
According to him, the group of Ukrainians was transported by plane from Georgia to Moldova and then by bus to Ukraine. All members of this group were subsequently taken to the TCC, he stated.
The interviewee emphasized that he was not allowed to visit his own home and was immediately sent to the TCC in Kryvyi Rih. Later, he was transferred for a medical examination in Dnipro. He is not permitted to meet with relatives.
Most doctors have already declared the man fit for service (relevant documents are in the possession of "Novaya-Europe"). However, the Ukrainian himself insists that he has serious vision problems.
"I have very poor eyesight; I can hardly see anything. My right eye is completely non-functional. <…> If I need to go fight, I will go, but at least give me time to sort out my personal affairs," the interviewee told the publication.
SOTA also reports other incidents where Ukrainians evacuated from the Georgian border were directed to the TCC from a hospital in Odesa.
