The platform "Stradarium," founded by the team of "Suffering Middle Ages" and specializing in online courses in the humanities, has announced the cessation of sales for programs developed by lecturers designated as "foreign agents."
As noted by the publication "Novaya-Evropa," the corresponding notice was sent to the project's subscribers via a mailing list.
In five days, it will become impossible to purchase courses by political scientist Ekaterina Shulman, anthropologist Alexandra Arkhipova, philologist Oleg Lekmanov, science popularizer Andrei Aksyonov, and writer Alexander Arkhangelsky.
As of September 1, a ban on educational and outreach activities for "foreign agents" has been introduced in Russia. Previously, such restrictions applied only to work with adolescents.
In the statement from "Stradarium," it is said: "We consider this law discriminatory, absurd, and humiliating. It does not protect but isolates. <…> We embrace everyone—lecturers, listeners, and dear colleagues. Thank you for being with us. <…> You have five days left to purchase and retain access to the materials. Five days is not much, but sometimes even in such a short time, one can manage to do something meaningful."
