Activists who set sail from Spain on August 31 in flotillas bound for the Gaza sector were forced to return to the port of Barcelona due to adverse weather conditions. This was reported by the press service of the Global Sumud Flotilla initiative.

That day, approximately 20 ships departed from Barcelona heading toward Gaza. On board were activists, journalists, medical personnel, and crew members from 44 countries. Among the participants was also Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
