Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, during the plenary session of the "Zauralsky-2025" investment Sabantuy, announced a possible transition of the republic to a mobilization economy. This was reported by RBC.
Khabirov emphasized the need to transition to more economical use of funds and a mobilization regime for the economy as one of the key tasks under current conditions.
He pointed out that the Russian and Bashkortostan economies are being negatively affected by the foreign policy situation, sanctions pressure, support for the special military operation, and the high key interest rate.
The head of the region noted that the republican budget increases annually but at the same time falls short of receiving a portion of taxes, while expenditures are also growing. Investments in fixed capital, which had shown growth for several consecutive years, decreased in the first half of 2025. The authorities plan to restore their growth by the end of the year. Additionally, the industrial production index has declined, but Khabirov expressed confidence that by the end of the year the indicator will be positive.
