In the United States, on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU), right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, known as an ally of former President Donald Trump, was shot. Confirmation of this tragic news appeared on the social network Truth Social from the White House leader himself.

Trump wrote: "A great, almost legendary, Charlie Kirk has passed away. No one understood and felt the American youth like he did. He was adored and admired by everyone, especially me. Now he is no longer with us. Melania and I extend our deepest condolences to his beautiful wife Erika and the entire family. Charlie, we love you."

According to UVU, the attack on Kirk occurred around 12:10 PM (9:10 PM Moscow time) during his participation in a university debate. An unknown shooter fired a gun from a campus building located approximately 200 meters from the stage. This was reported by Fox News, citing a university representative. Videos from the scene published online show that the bullet hit the activist in the neck. He was urgently taken to the hospital, where he passed away.
