Pashkovsky Airport in Krasnodar, which ceased operations due to the start of military actions in Ukraine in 2022, has reopened. The relevant information was disseminated by the Ministry of Transport and Rosaviatsiya.
According to Rosaviatsiya's statement, civil aviation flights are permitted daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Moscow time, starting September 11. However, traffic intensity is limited—no more than five takeoffs and landings per hour.
The first regular flight to Krasnodar is expected to be operated by Aeroflot from Moscow on September 17. The Ministry of Transport clarified that flight safety issues for civil aircraft in Krasnodar were addressed by an interdepartmental working group based at Rosaviatsiya. Experts from the State Air Traffic Management Corporation also confirmed the feasibility of such flights.
During the airport's downtime in Krasnodar, work was carried out to repair an additional taxiway, the station square, parking areas, terminal facades, and internal navigation within the buildings was improved, the Ministry of Transport added.
Pashkovsky suspended operations "for safety reasons" on February 24, 2022—the first day of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. On the same day, civil flight operations were halted at ten other airports.
In May 2024, Elista Airport resumed operations, and in July 2025, Gelendzhik Airport followed suit. Nine other airports, including those in annexed Crimea, remain closed to civilian passengers.
