Alexander Lukashenko met in Minsk with John Coale, a representative of U.S. President Donald Trump. This information was disseminated by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The negotiations lasted approximately five hours. During the conversation, Lukashenko put forward the idea of a "global deal" concerning individuals considered political prisoners.
"We are not at all in favor of these people remaining in correctional facilities. Moreover, they were not convicted for political activity. <…> If Donald is interested, we are ready to provide detailed information about the offenses of each of them. If he insists on his readiness to accept these released individuals—well, let's try to agree on a comprehensive deal," Lukashenko noted.
