In Russia, a three-day voting period has begun, running from September 12 to 14. During these days, citizens will participate in elections for the heads of 20 regions of the country, including annexed Sevastopol, as well as in the election of deputies for 11 legislative assemblies. In addition, elections for municipal heads and legislators in city and rural councils will take place in 25 federal subjects.
Voters will be able to cast their ballots for the leaders of Leningrad, Sverdlovsk, Rostov, Kursk, Bryansk, Astrakhan, Orenburg, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Novgorod, Tambov, and Kostroma regions, Krasnodar and Perm territories, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Komi, Kamchatka, and the Jewish Autonomous Region. The governor of annexed Sevastopol will also be elected. The head of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug will be elected by deputies of the district assembly.
