The Consulate General of Spain in Moscow has resumed accepting visa applications. The relevant information is posted on the website of the visa center BLS.
Previously, on September 13, the diplomatic mission suspended processing applications due to technical issues. The specific reasons for the disruption were not disclosed.
By the end of 2024, Spain was among the top three countries issuing the highest number of Schengen visas to Russian citizens, alongside France and Italy. Spanish consulates issued 111,000 visas, France issued 124,000, and Italy issued 152,000.
