On September 16, the Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theater on Arbat hosted the unveiling of a memorial dedicated to the former chief director Yuri Butusov, who passed away on August 9 in Bulgaria. Information about this event was disseminated by Novaya Gazeta Europe.
The memorial plaque was installed on the eve of the start of the theater's 105th anniversary season. The memorial is designed as a collage, featuring black-and-white photographs: a portrait of Butusov, stills from his most significant productions, as well as brief biographical notes about the director and his works.
