Three MiG-31 fighter jets from Russia crossed Estonia's air border over the waters of the Gulf of Finland without proper authorization, remaining there for 12 minutes. This incident, which occurred today, September 19, was officially confirmed by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"This year, Russia has violated Estonia's airspace for the fourth time, which is completely unacceptable. However, today's incursion, during which three military aircraft entered our air zone, is particularly brazen," noted Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

In response to the violation of air borders, the Estonian foreign policy department summoned Russia's chargé d'affaires to deliver a note of protest and express official disagreement with what occurred.

No comments have yet been issued by the Russian diplomatic mission regarding the accusations.

Previously, on the night of September 9–10, around 20 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles intruded into Poland's airspace. Following this, 43 countries, including the United States, published a joint statement condemning Russia's actions.
