Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed extending the Treaty on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (New START/SNV-III) for another year. He made the corresponding statement during a meeting of the Russian Federation Security Council, addressing the United States.
