The General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation has filed a lawsuit with the Ostankinsky District Court of Moscow demanding the seizure of over 100 real estate properties belonging to the Chairman of the Council of Judges of the Russian Federation, Viktor Momotov. This information was reported by the agencies "Kommersant" and "Interfax".
The lawsuit states that Momotov, while holding the position of a judge of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, engaged in illegal entrepreneurial activities and provided patronage for them, systematically evaded paying taxes on an especially large scale, and used his official position to protect capital obtained in violation of anti-corruption norms. Thus, as claimed in the document, he derived income through prohibited methods, failed to declare it, and concealed it from regulatory authorities.
