An incident involving the beating of three conscripts from Tyva by their fellow servicemen occurred in a military unit in the Khabarovsk Krai. The publication "People of Baikal" disseminated a report about this, citing information from the relatives of the victims.
According to the relatives, a group of ten conscript soldiers attacked the young men on September 22. The reasons that led to the conflict remain unclear. The victims managed to send home photographs and video recordings documenting their injuries, after which communication with them was lost.
As stated by the families of the beaten conscripts, the servicemen are being held in conditions resembling detention cells, and their communication with loved ones is restricted. Following appeals from the parents, the Head of Tyva, Vladislav Khovalyg, ordered the formation of a working group, including officials and deputies, to travel to the unit and clarify the details of the incident.
Additionally, the authorities intend to inspect the service conditions in other units where conscripts from Tyva are serving. The relatives of the victims have been invited to a meeting at the Government House to discuss the situation.
