The Glazov District Court of Udmurtia has terminated proceedings in the criminal case concerning the attempted murder of two minors (Part 3 of Article 30, Points "a, i" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code) due to the death of a 25-year-old resident of Glazov, who was killed during military operations in Ukraine. Information about the court decision was disseminated by the publication Udm-info.
The investigation established that in August 2024 in Glazov, the accused attacked a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy with a knife, inflicting multiple injuries on them. Both victims were hospitalized in serious condition. According to the prosecution, the crime was committed out of hooligan motives.
After being detained, the man was arrested; however, the court subsequently suspended the proceedings because the defendant had signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and departed for the combat zone.
In August 2025, the court received official notification of the accused's death while performing combat duties. Based on this information, the criminal case was definitively terminated on September 23.
