According to recently released documents in the Jeffrey Epstein case, it has been established that the financier had connections with Elon Musk. This is reported by Politico and Axios.

Musk's name appears in the records of the financier convicted of sex crimes. A note from December 6, 2014 contains the entry: "Reminder: Elon Musk is going to the island on December 6 (is this still happening?)."

Besides Musk, the materials mention entrepreneur Peter Thiel and former senior advisor to the U.S. president Steve Bannon. Although the contacts of all three with Epstein were known earlier, these facts are now officially documented, the media emphasize.

At the same time, as Axios clarifies, the mention of their names in the materials does not serve as proof of involvement in illegal activities.

Jeffrey Epstein died in a New York prison cell in August 2019, where he was held on charges of human trafficking for sexual exploitation. His death sparked a surge in conspiracy theories suggesting Epstein was eliminated due to possessing compromising information about influential individuals to whom he allegedly provided underage girls.

In July, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice published a report on the investigation into the financier's death. Investigators found no compromising client list of Epstein, nor evidence that he blackmailed famous personalities or was murdered. Against this backdrop, a number of prominent conservatives, including Musk, criticized the Attorney General and the FBI director for their conclusions, reports the BBC.

Amid the conflict with the U.S. president, Musk stated that the president is also mentioned in the materials but soon deleted this post. Later, this information was confirmed by Bloomberg sources.
