In Yekaterinburg, former Vice-Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast Oleg Chemezov has been detained. He is suspected of committing large-scale fraud under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code. This information was reported by the publications E1.RU, 66.RU, RBC, and TASS.

As explained by attorney Maria Kirillova in a conversation with E1.RU, Chemezov received a summons and, despite media reports about a possible detention, appeared as scheduled on the appointed morning. According to his defense lawyer, the press reports may have been a provocation to push him to flee, but Oleg Leonidovich acted in accordance with the law and was detained after appearing.
