In Krasnoyarsk, journalist Svetlana Khaustik was detained on suspicion of disseminating false information about the Russian army, which is classified under Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code. This was reported by TASS, NGS24, and "Prospekt Mira."

The Investigative Committee for the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported the detention of an employee of "regional and foreign internet publications" without naming her. During the investigation, a search was conducted in her apartment.

The basis for initiating the case was materials provided by the regional department of the FSB. According to the investigation, since April 2020, the journalist had been working for a foreign publication recognized as a "foreign agent" in Russia, performing tasks for it as a freelance author. In May 2023, she published an interview in this outlet which, according to law enforcement, contained false information about military operations. For this publication, she received a remuneration of 64,000 rubles.

The exact details of the interview have not been disclosed. A TASS source clarified that the material was published on the portal "Sibir.Realii."

As noted by the publication "7x7," Khaustik collaborated with both independent media and those operating under censorship control. Among the outlets that published her work are "Takie Dela," "Kedr," "Agency for Social Information," "Komsomolskaya Pravda — Krasnoyarsk," and "Argumenty i Fakty na Enisee."
