The St. Petersburg Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit with the city court seeking to recognize the book "Chronicles of Reborn Arkanar" by former Legislative Assembly deputy Boris Vishnevsky as extremist. This information was confirmed by Daria Lebedeva, head of the press service of the city courts.

The lawsuit was accepted for proceedings by the St. Petersburg City Court, with the first court hearing scheduled for October 15, as reflected in the judicial case file materials.

Lebedeva explained that a text examination was organized at the initiative of the prosecutor's office. According to the experts' conclusion, the book contains calls for violent change of Russia's constitutional order, as well as incitement of hostility and hatred toward believers of the Russian Orthodox Church.

As noted by the court representative, the experts concluded that the author portrays Russia as a fascist-leaning state, characterizing it as an "empire of hypocrisy" and a "third world." In their opinion, the articles in the book are united by a common authorial position and semantic direction—to demonstrate the incompetence of the current government.
